Hard Candy – Pink Taffy

I have the second Hard Candy polish to show you today.  This one is from the Candy Sprinkles Collection.  Lets take a look shall we?

Pink Taffy, is as the name suggests, pink.  It has silver, black and darker pink glitter in a baby pink base.  The glitter is all the same size, similar to other sprinkles polishes that can be found in the polish market.  Like Pee Wee Purple, the bottle is the same containing 7.8ml with a ling brush.  Formula was on this one was a bit off the mark, it was a bit gloopy and hard to get an even coat. I managed to get two coats on and it dried and levelled itself off quite well – which was a nice surprise.  I used G & G Stuck on Blu! as my base and then G & G HK Girl as a top coat to provide a nice even shiny finish.

I do like the sprinkles effect, its a good way of getting glitter onto nails without being bonkers, plus some of them are quite discrete if you like glitter but need something work appropriate.  Despite the formula issues, I think I will be looking out for more of these on our annual trip to the US later this year.

Do you like sprinkles?

  1. I do like sprinkles, much better trend than crackle for me! I’ve got some of the Maybelline ones which look very similar to this…

    • I agree, sprinkles are MUCH more wearable than crackle. I think the Maybelline Color Show Polka’s have dots of varying sizes, this is all one sized glitter. There is something very cute about these.

  2. I have this and the mint-green one. I like them OK, just wish they were a little cheaper considering the size of the bottle!

    • I’d just like them all, I’m such a polish slut!! LOL, also I have no idea what the retail is so I’m afraid I cannot comment on that.
