Catrice – Yellow Sub Mandarin

A quick post for you today (I’m actually on holiday) but I wanted to share with you one of my favourite colours I’ve been wearing this summer. I picked this up when Catrice were clearing out all their older style polishes before the new range came in.

I procrastinated about wearing it because the weather was so awful, and then it suddenly got very sunny and warm. This little gem was calling at me from the untried line….

This is just stunning! I love it. Formula was great, really creamy and glossy. I did three thin coats as yellow based polishes can be a bit of a nightmare. This one levelled itself off well and dried in great time. I just love the colour, its not yellow but its not orange. I think the name suits this perfectly. There is a very subtle shimmer running through the polish, you can see it in the bottle but you can’t pick it up on the nail. But no matter. This is a fabulous polish. Really fabulous. Base was Glisten & Glow Stuck on Blu! and topped with Glisten & Glow HK Girl – great deal on the double pack here!

As mentioned above, this is part of the previous range of polishes, so I’m not sure where you might be able to get this if it does catch your eye. Catrice are good at updating their Facbeook page with new releases and limited edition runs. If you live in the UK, your best bet to pick up Catrice is through Sally Magpies where they retail about £4. If you live in Europe, you can get them from a number of locations so check out the Store Finder or look in your local drugstore.

  9. I normally hate yellow polish (either too neon that it makes my hand dry) or they just ended up looking like yellow nail, this one is really cute. In a mango kind of way.
