Chanel – Elixir

I have one of my airport purchases to share with you all today.  This is Elixir from the Chanel Superstition Fall 2013 collection.  This was released in the UK mid August but has been available in the US and other places since late June.

I just love this.  No one does creme polishes like Chanel.  Its amazing.  It is practically a one coater, but in the images above I did two coats for even coverage.  It covered like a dream, the formula is excellent, drying well and providing a great amount of self leveling.  I based with Stuck on Blu and topped with Hong Kong Girl.

The colour is a dusky raspberry, not incredibly unusual, but stunning.  The second and last images in the slideshow show it off best in natural light and provide the most colour accurate look – although do remember that your monitor is calibrated differently to mine.

There are lots of great comparison posts out there, so google can help with that.  If I have time I will pull out my other Chanels and possible dupes and pop up a post for you.

Chanel Le Vernis can be picked up from Chanel counters in large department stores and certain larger chemist stores.  RRP is £18.  In the US they can be bought directly on Chanel.com.

  1. Lovely! I only picked up Alchimie this time. Do you know if these ones are all LE?

  2. This is the only one of the three that I like. It’ll have to go on the wishlist though as I’ve spent too much recently.
