Rose Gold Flamingo Nails

Today’s mani was something that I did for my last day in my old job – I’ve been gone for three weeks now and it still feels odd.  Anyway, fo rmy last day I picked up this gorgeous flamingo scarf in M&S of all places.  I was struck by its rose gold flamingos and then I remembered one of my Moyou plates has a flamingo design on.  And viola!

This is a base of Cult Nails Tempest, my current go to white stamped with the flamingos from Moyou Tropical plate 04 in Models Own Chrome Rose.

I LOVE THIS – I was thrilled with my stamping and all 10 nails looked awesome!  Base was Nailtiques 2 and topped off with Nails Inc Kensington Top coat.  Love love love!  I think I will do this again over black – bloody love it!

Children In Need Nails!

20131116-112044.jpg

Very quick post for you today, yesterday for those of us in the UK it was the BBC’s Children In Need annual extravaganza.  Its a great charity event, raising millions of pounds for disadvantaged children and their families up and down the UK.

They have a teddy bear mascot, called Pudsey, and these nails above are my homage to Pudsey’s eye bandana, which is white with these colour dots.

For the polishes I used
Cult Nails Tempest – White
Depend – Red
Essie Mojito Madness – Green
Catrice Yellow Sub-Mandarin – Yellow
Sally Hansen Brisk Blue – Blue

Topped off with a coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl.

Love this, got lots of nice comments and by this morning Children in Need has raised £31 Million!

British Nail Bloggers Halloween Nail Art Challenge – Pumpkins

OK, here is something you don’t see everyday on this blog, a spot of nail art.  And I’ll be super honest here, I am very pleased with how this turned out.  I completely ripped the idea off from this wonderful mani from the super talented Emily AKA The Lacquerologist and you can see my inspiration by clicking here.

So, here we go (please be kind!)

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I used Maybelline Color Show Onyx Black for the base, two coats to get a nice even coat.  For the pumpkins, I used a mix of Sinful Color Sinful Shine in Patent Pleasure and OPI A Woman’s Prague-ative. Then I used my dotting tool to make two dots of the same size close together.  I then took a thin nail art brush and painted on the stalk in Essie Mojito Madness.  Then with a thinner brush, I painted on a little bit more of the OPI to provide a bit of texture.  Once it had dried for a few minutes, I coated it with a good coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl to seal it all in.

So, what do you think?  And what should I do next?  Let me know in the comments!
