Nella Milano – Chestnut Road

Da-TAH! Its Nella time again – this time, its a perfectly autumnal shade called Chestnut Road.  Lets look at some pictures…..

Wow, what a colour, its just stunning.  The shade just screams autumn.  Formula is good, this is two coats over a base of Nailtiques 2 and topped of with Essie Gel-Setter top coat.  It wore like iron.  Seriously impressed.

On the website you can search by collection, there are eight sets and one set of top and base coat www.nellamilano.com.  You can also visit the brand on Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest or Facebook to keep up to date with releases and current shades.  The price point is £8.95.  But this week, Chestnut Road should be on offer for £4.95, so if you like the look of this, this is the week to take the plunge and buy!

Spotted! Chanel Autumn Les Automnales Collection 2015

Its here!  Its finally here!  Chanel Les Automnales Collection is now on the shelves in the UK!  Hurrah!  And the whole collection is STUNNING!!

As you can see below, three new shades ( potentially limited edition) and then three new manicure products – a base, top coat and velvet matte top coat.

The Boots store I was in, was massive and had a huge Chanel stand.  Sadly no SA as I was keen to try some of the lipsticks!  And eye liners.  And everything really…..

Here is the rest of the collection.  Waddyathink??

Will you be picking anything up from Chanel Autumn?

Catrice – Golden Plum-e

I have another of the handful of polishes I picked up in Vienna to show you today, this one is part of the Catrice Feathered Fall edition for September to November 2014.  It is packed full of sparkle and metallic shades, but this was the only polish shade that spoke to me.  This is Golden Plum-e, a nice little play on words there for you…..

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

What you see above is two average coats over a base of Nailtiques 2 topped with G&G HK Girl.  As you can see, its a plum base colour with a golden shimmer.  It goes on well in two coats, delivery opacity and I have to admit when I started to put it on, I didn’t think it would be!

Anyway, it is cute and super autumn (fall) appropriate and I can see this getting a fair bit of wear from me over the next few weeks.  I also picked up one of the eye shadows but I have yet to try it out (let me know if you want a review of that too)

Catrice isn’t available to us in the UK yet, but if you are in mainland Europe, you can find it by looking at our local retailers on the website.  I think I paid between €2 & €3, but I can’t recall.  Either way, its a good deal!

Spotted! NYC Crystal Couture, Sally Hansen, Miss Sporty & L’Oreal Red Collection,

Lots more new things on shelves, I’ve brought a few new spots into one post so you get to see them quicker.  First up NYC Crystal Coutures, four shades in total…. gold, red, purple and blue.  In the US there are two additional and different shades – a green one and a stunning red and grey one which I MUST GET!!  See them here on Nouveau Cheap.

Also spotted in the NYC stand is this new Glitter Off base coat.  This is like many on the market to make heavy glitter removal easier… now for £1.99 its certainly worth trying if you don’t fancy making your own base coat from PVA glue.

Then, I Spotted new polishes in the Sally Hansen stand from the Complete Salon Manicure range. A mix of metallics and glitters, inlcuding this interesting little one below.. gold and purple and shimmer?? Ooohhhhhhhhh

IMG_6471
The others include a jewel red, gold and purple and a black with silver glitter and a pure silver polish.

New Essence products

I just received an email from Essence with some of the new products coming out this autumn and I thought you might want to see some of them.  I’ve picked a few bits from the email, but do go onto the Essence website to look out for new and forthcoming products!  There are some additions to the colour & go line and some new additions for nail art – lots to pick from!

First up, Thermo Nail Polish. Now correct me if I am wrong, but I think this is the first available in the high street thermo polish! Exciting!!

weather expert! this nail polish reacts to outside temperature changes and changes color accordingly. and the color-change works the other way around, too. cool nail polishes with a guaranteed wow-effect!

electrified effects! exciting and fashionable effects like glitter jewels, sugar in metallic, sparkling or jeans style, a holographic shimmer and polka dots combined with bright colors like rose, turquoise, blue, pink or grey-black conjure-up unique nail styles. the nail polishes offer great coverage and are super easy to apply for a 3D wow-manicure you can touch!

colour explosion! the huge colour & go range has the beloved gel-shine finish with a highly intensive shine and an extremely short drying time for perfectly polished nails in a flash! the patented quick & easy brush is particularly flat for an even easier application. the 8ml bottle has a cool essence design – with the usual colour-coded cap in the corresponding nail polish colour.

fabulous foils! these nail foils bring cool graffiti styles straight to your nails. and here’s how it works: apply the transfer solution on your nails and wait for 80-90 seconds. separate a piece of the foil and press it onto your nail with the shiny side up. remove the foil again and seal with a top coat – and you’re done! repeat this step for each nail. totally creative and unique!

shake it! the name of this top coat says it all. simply shake the bottle of shake me! i’m pretty top coat to mix the cool holographic glitter particles with the texture. apply the top coat over any nail polish for an extra portion of bling.

I’m very excited about these hand cremes, but I think they are not going to be available via UK outlets.  perhaps the online essence store might be the best place for these as they sound awesome!

There are also some new mascaras and some additions to the lovely metal glam eye shadows (I have more than one women ever needs!)  And some more trend editions, images below!

All the new products can be found here, what catches your eye?

Maybelline Color Show Vinyl – Black to the Basics

As you may have seen, Maybelline have yet another limited edition collection of four out in the UK.  This is the first one to grace my nails and is called Black to the Basics.  Here come the pics!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

What you see above is two coats over a base of G&G Stuck on Blu!.  Drying time is very quick, as matte-er shades tend to be.  Formula was good and care is needed as the Maybelline brush isn’t tapered.  It dries quite matte and is between a proper matte shade and a leather effect formula from what I can tell.

I think it looks good and you can never have to many black polishes in your stash!

These are readily available in Boots and Superdrug, plus with a number of offers on buying multiples products, so if you fancy them now is the time!

Spotted! KIKO Daring Game Collection

HOW EXCITING!! Not only does KIKO have another lovely limited edition range out, called Daring Game, but they have opened a store in Leeds!  How did I not know this! I was able to grab a few pictures, but the store was quite busy and I was trying to be discrete!IMG_5949.JPG

IMG_5948.JPG

Not much to go on, but as you can see the collection in the promo pic at the front, I can also say that it feels great in your hand and the packaging is just really cute.  Love the dice dots on the tops of the polishes.

There is a deal on online shipping until August 14 so if you don’t live in London or Leeds, you can still get your hands on the collection.

Let me know what catches your eye!
