Oh dear, I passed the Chanel Counter and noticed that the new Collection Notes De Printemps Spring 2014 range was on counters. Three available shades in Le Vernis, Ballerina (a pale pink repromote), 603 Charivari (a rich purple creme) and the one I am about to show you, 605 Tapage (a pink leaning red).
As you can see above, there are a number of pink/red shades in the collection along with some new eyeshadows. As always its a beautifully curated range. Anyway, enough of what I am not showing you, here is Tapage.
Gosh I do adore this. Its bright, its poppy, its a fab colour. I’d describe it as a pink leaning red raspberry shade, but its not like anything else in my stash (thank goodness!!) Formula was heavenly, as you know if you follow my blog, my admiration for Chanel Cremes is limitless. And for good reason. This is a one coater. rich, creamy easy to work with coupled with great drying time and wonderful self levelling.
What you see above is two coats over a base of G&G Stuck on Blu! topped of the G&G HK Girl. Wear was excellent, a good two days without the slightest hint of tip wear. I got lots of comments on the colour of it, bit of a discussion at work as to weather it was more pink or red, but when you put it next to a pink, its clearly red.
From what I can tell, none of these Vernis shades are limited edition, unlike the Fall 2013 shades. Chanel Le Vernis retails for £18 and can be picked up from larger department stores or online at Boots or Selfridges.
Let me know what you think in the comments!
