Spotted! Chanel Collection Rouge Noir Absolument AKA Chanel Christmas 2015!

Its here, its here!!! Chanel Collection Rouge Noir Absolument!  Its a collection centred around the Iconic Rouge Noir.    Love the graphic!
I have more bottles of Rouge Noir than a person needs, but it is a Classic.  I picked with the Lame Gold Sparkle Top Coat.  It looks super weird in the displays because it settles so much, but a good shake and its just superb!

For all you US readers, the collection is out in stores now as well, but your re-promoted Le Vernis is Vamp – not Rouge Noir.  For more info, check out The Beauty Look Book.

Chanel – Mediterranee

As we saw this weekend, the new Chanel Les Automnales Collection is now out and so I thought it best to get this review up asap!  This is the final shade I purchased from the Summer 2015 Collection and is the collections namesake Mediterranee – lets check out some pics.

This is a gorgeous teal creme, and its simply stunning.  This is two coats over a base of Nailtiques 2 and I have used one of the top coats I picked up in the US called Essie Gel Setter and is part of the Essie Gel Style Nails collection.  I’ve used this with several different polish brands and it dries fast and hard – bloody awesome!

As for the Chanel, which is really what I’m meant to be focusing on…. the formula is as good as you would expect with Chanel.  Smooth, creamy and prefect coverage.  I don’t think this is limited edition, but if you do like it and have been thinking of it, its worth checking just in case!

Spotted! Chanel Autumn Les Automnales Collection 2015

Its here!  Its finally here!  Chanel Les Automnales Collection is now on the shelves in the UK!  Hurrah!  And the whole collection is STUNNING!!

As you can see below, three new shades ( potentially limited edition) and then three new manicure products – a base, top coat and velvet matte top coat.

The Boots store I was in, was massive and had a huge Chanel stand.  Sadly no SA as I was keen to try some of the lipsticks!  And eye liners.  And everything really…..

Here is the rest of the collection.  Waddyathink??

Will you be picking anything up from Chanel Autumn?

Chanel – Fraicheur

Ah, Chanel. You bring out a limited edition polish and I will get out my wallet and buy it.  Noting new there if you’ve been following the blog for a while.  Its the one high end line guaranteed to make me go gaga.  Lets look at some pics!

I’d never managed to get my hands on a bottle Jade, that cool green shade from many a year ago… so I was hopeful that this might go some way to making up for it. So I reserved my bottle and waited. Finally I was able to go and pick it up as it had come into the store some two weeks later than planned.

I raced home to get this onto my nails, look how pretty she is!? Lovely bit of hidden shimmer, almost too hidden if you ask me. You really can’t see it on the nail unless you are directly under artificial light, and it has to be strong. Then you can see the shimmer, peaking out at you.

The other problem I have is with the formula. Its a nightmare to put it bluntly. I need two coats and each one was a pain to put on.  Its a bit gloopy and not a great formula.  Its really patchy on all coats.  And if you look closely you can probably see that on the nail.  And you have to wait between coats, if you go to apply a second when you normally would, the polish clumps up and drags something horrible.  Ugh.  Even with years of having painted my nails, years, I found this hard to work with.

Only positive?  The colour is to die for.  I love it.  Such a pretty colour and not similar to anything I have in the stash.  If I hadn’t already bought it, when I read some of the reviews, I might have given it a pass.  £18 is a lot of anyones money to spend on a polish when you can get a good, quality polish for a lot less.

Anyway let me know what you think in the comments!

Chanel – Lavanda

Finally catching up with some of my recent purchases, I did take the plunge a buy two more shades from the Chanel Méditerranée Summer 2015 collection.  We’ve already seen Terrana and I also have Méditerranée.  This one is the stunning purple of the collection, called Lavanda.

Lets check out some pics!

As you can see above, Lavanda is a lovely vivid purple creme.  I love this, such a great shade and perfect for Summer.  I think I will pop it on my toes next!

Formula is excellent, as are most Chanel cremes, I am smitten!  Wear time, over a base of Nailtiques 2 and topped with Essie Gel Shine top coat was excellent.  Three days and no chips!  How happy was I with that!  Those Chanel brushes are just fab and I really love them!

What do you think?  Did you pick up Lavanda?

Spotted! Chanel Les Beiges & Rimmel London Nudes

Nude shades seem to be all the range for early summer.  Two new ranges out in store.  First up, the new nude collection from Chanel called Les Beiges. Several products in the range, including four nude-ish shades of nail polish. Then the new Kate Moss Nude Collection (internet search on safe!!!) Its not on the website yet, but it looked to me like five nude lipsticks and four (or maybe five) nude nail polishes.  Also in the range are some new foundations.  Not at all unlike the new Les Beiges above….
Anything catch your eye? Let me know what you think in the comments.

EDIT – the nail polishes are now listed on the Rimmel UK Website, four shades to pick from.  Five in the lipstick range.

Blue Notes de Chanel – Fortissimo, collection 2015

We’ve already seen the first blue shade in this limited edition release of two polishes.  This release is called Blue Notes De Chanel, the collection contains two new polishes, a bright blue creme called Vibrato (check that here) and a dark blue metallic polish called Fortissimo.  In the UK the collection is referred to as Blue Notes De Chanel, but elsewhere it is Blue Rhythm De Chanel.

This is the dark blue metallic shade, its certainly a lot darker than Vibrato.  This is two coats over a base of Nailtiques 2 and topped with Nails Inc Kensington Top Coat.  The first coat is quite patchy, no other word for it.  The second coat really brings the bling.  Seriously bling.  The depth of colour is lovely.  And my pictures just don’t capture it.

Again, you may feel you have a dupe.  Its similar to one of the new Barry M Speedy Polishes (I can’t recall the name) and I am sure there are a number of dupes out there.  All those dark gem colours that are knocking about. Do let me know if you have any dupes that leap to mind, do let me know!

Blue Notes de Chanel – Vibrato, collection 2015

I’m not sure how I missed this, but Chanel brought out a new capture make up collection whilst I was away.  Called Blue Notes De Chanel, the collection contains two new polishes, a bright blue creme called Vibrato and a dark blue metallic polish called Fortissimo.  In the UK the collection is referred to as Blue Notes De Chanel, but elsewhere it is Blue Rhythm De Chanel.  And promo pictures of the whole collection are a bit scarce, however there are eyeshadows, liners. mascaras and eyeshadow quads.

I fell hard for the blues, they looks stunning online and so I bought them sight unseen.  Have I been disappointed?  Lets take a look….

Wow, this is some blue!  Its super bright.  Not too bright as that is tempered as the shade is darker than I first thought.  Its application is perfect however, this is two thin coats over a base of Nailtiques 2 topped with Nails Inc Kensington Top Coat.  Formula is good, really good.  The Chanel cremes are legendary for good application.

The black square cap pops off so you use the inner cap to apply the polish and the brush is thin and flexible.

I know lots of you will be going ‘I’m sure I have that one already’, the closest dupe I found has been Barry M Blue Grape from the Gelly range and Lancome Nuit D’Azur (limited edition).  I’ve seen both shades in the UK shops this weekend, so if you fancy it, better move fast as the whole range (from what I can tell) is limited edition.

What do you think?  Let me know in the comments.

Spotted! Chanel Collection Mediteranee, Dior Tie-Die Summer 2015 and new L’Oreal Colour Riche polish.

In case you are heading out this bank holiday weekend, there are some new things knocking about that might catch your eye.

First up, new Chanel Ete Summer 2015 Collection Mediterranee.  Four new polish shades.  New Dior Summer 2015, again new polish shades.  And then, new L’Oreal shades.  Four new shades here.  There were one or two others in the updated stand. Anything catch your eye?  Let me know in the comments.

Chanel – Intemporel

So there is a new Chanel collection out RIGHT NOW, in a limited number of stores and, of course, it is itself limited edition. L’Intemporel De Chanel can been seen on the US Chanel.com website here and consists of a gorgeous eye shadow palette, styled on the classic Chanel chain bag, along with a silver polish, again reflecting the chain of the classic bag.

Much as I love the shadows, and I was seriously thinking about purchasing them, I (typically) got all grabby hands about the polish.  I love a silver.  And I love Chanel.  It was a perfect match.  Lets look at the pics!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The polish is just the perfect shade of silver, its realy stunning and so bright on the nail.  Formula was excellent, it was almost a one coater. The black cap pops off and you have a stumpy black lid that you hold to apply the polish.  The brush is the standard Chanel brush, thin but pliable.

What you see above is two coats over a base of Nailtiques 2 and topped off with a coat of Nails Inc Kensington Top Coat.  Unlike the chrome polishes we have been seeing of late, the application of a top coat does not effect the finish of the polish.

I’ve worn this for three days and Ive only just chipped it.  So colour me impressed!

I paid £18 for this polish and I picked it up at the Chanel counter at Selfridges Exchange Square in Manchester.  It is also available at a limited number of other stores.  if you are a Chanel collector, this one is a no brainer, but there are some fabulous (and cheaper) silver shades out there.
