Its mid week and its Nella Milano time again!  This time a lovely purple shade perfect for any time of the year!  Lets check out some pictures.

Wow, look at the colour!  It is so pretty and the formula is great.  This is two coats over a base of Nailtiques 2 and topped with Nails Inc Kensington Top Coat.  It did wear like iron, more so than usual, so I was very pleased.   Question is, do you think this is purple or lilac?

On the website you can search by collection, there are eight sets and one set of top and base coat www.nellamilano.com.  You can also visit the brand on Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest or Facebook to keep up to date with releases and current shades.  The price point is £8.95.  But this week, Summersby should be on offer for £4.95, so if you like the look of this, this is the week to take the plunge and buy!

Maybelline Color Show Acid Wash Effect – Lilac Rebel

The last of the colours Maybelline Color Show Acid Wash Effect nail polishes to share with you today.  This one is Lilac Rebel, a lilac tinged pale blue shade, packed with the multi sized white glitters we saw in Ripped Tide and Mint-Acid-Ittude.

Application was OK on this one, it did need three coats to deliver opacity.  But I think its worth it.  This is three coats over a base of G&G Stuck on Blu and topped off with a coat of G&G HK Girl.  The top coat really helps to smooth down those larger glitters that stick up a bit and welds the whole thing onto your nails.

I’ve seen these out and about in many locations now, so if your local Boots or Superdrug hasn’t got them out yet, they soon will.  Just keep trying!

Catrice – Steel My Soul

Another one from the image vault for you today, not such great images but you get the idea….

This is Steel My Soul by Catrice, a European brand.

As you can see above, this is a lovely lilac colour with a soft shimmer of gold running throughout it.  Very pretty.  I’m not sure if this is still available as I cannot see it on the Catrice website, but you may be able to pick it up in blog sales and online.

Formula was good, what you see is three thin coats of the polish.  Colour built up well and with a top coat of Seche Vite, it certainly makes it look super shiny.  I based coated with Essie Millionails – which is also discontinued – doing well here aren’t I??

The shimmer does translate onto the nail, but it is not as visible as it is in the bottle. Brush is also good, its tapered and similar in shape and size to the Dior brush so you can get close to your cuticles and not get polish on them.

If you live in Europe you probably already know where you can get Catrice products, but for us UK girls can buy them directly from the lovely Sally over at Sally Magpies.  For elsewhere you can try eBay or Maquillalia who ship worldwide and I have bought a few items off them before.
