Spotted! New Maybelline Baby Lips

Exciting news!  I know a lot of you out there LOVE Maybelline Baby Lips.  And seems we are getting some new flavours.  Hot Cocoa is a Superdrug exclusive – although its not seen here yet. Sugar Cookie and Sweet Apple are already available.  The stand is nicely paired up with the Dr Rescue nail care range.  Good fro winter nail care.

Spotted! Maybelline Color Show Limited Editions now in Poundland!

I was in my local Poundland, just doing a sweep to see what was popping up on the shelves, and I saw these little beauties! Look!  The three above are from the Stripped Nudes collection, the Brocades collection and the Street Artist collection.  I also saw some polishes from both the Neon Collection, the Vintage Leather collection and the Bleached Neon collections.  Not a full set either way and from what I can tell, these are European Editions, not US ones (where these collections in particular where larger, so more in the bleached neon collection), so none of those more elusive shades to be seen!

Maybelline Color Show Suit Style – Red Reaction

Hey there – hope you all had great weekends!  Today I have a polish to show you thats been on my fingers for ages!  Gosh, I’ve fallen hard for this one… lets check out some pics!

Look at the red and the sparkle – OMG this is one gorgeous polish!  What you see here is three thin coats over a base of Naitiques 2 and topped off with Essie Gel Setter as my top coat (works like a treat on slight dull polishes!)  I did quite thin coats as the glitter tends to get dragged off otherwise and then you have the added benefit of building up some good depth of colour.

Red Reaction is part of the new Suit Style collection, and a sister polish to Suit & Sensibility, from Maybelline Color Show which has been out for a couple of weeks now.  Superdrug seems to have nail items on a 3 for 2, so worth picking this up if it catches your eye.

Maybelline Color Show Suit Style – Suit & Sensibility

So as you might have gathered, I got rather excited at the sight of new Maybelline Color Show polishes. I’ve done a bit of internet digging and (as usual) German blogs seem to be a bit ahead of the curve – although this post on Angelica’s Nails clearly shows all four bottles with the Suit Style Collection logo on them.  Anyhow, lets check out some pics!

As you can clearly see this is a gunmetal colour – and its textured!  Yes, Maybelline are still bringing out textured shades.  Now a word on that, the texture here is quite rough and more so that other previous Maybelline textured polishes.  It is a bit of a shock when its been a while since you’ve worn one and I did manage to snag my nails on a knitted top – so beware!

Formula is quite thick, but speed and care is needed to get this onto the nail as it does dry quite fast.  If you take you time, you either end up with one part of the nail clearly having a thicker application or you pull off some of the drying polish.  What you see above is two coats over a base of Nailtiques 2 and no top coat.  Drying time was quick as I mentioned.

Having seen those German blogs, Business Blouse (what a ridiculous name!) actually looks pretty cool – so I may have to pick that one up too…. damn you Maybelline!!!

Spotted! More Dr Rescue products from Maybelline

Now forgive me if I am wrong, I don’t think I have seen this before.  This tube is Dr Rescue nail polish drying drops!  Wow, look at that, a small tube.  Instructions say one drop per nail.  I didn’t pick it up, but I am curious. Also note the new Peel Off Base coat.  And its clear, not milky white like other brands we have seen release.  Curious here too.  May have to pick them both up as I love good peel off base!

You all know I am so going back for those two items don’t you??!

Spotted! New Maybelline Color Show Suit Style collection

A quick update for you – Maybelline stands are being updated up and down the country! Yay!

Looks like two new lines Suit Style – looks like four shades possibly five and then something called Celebrate!

Lots of pictures below there is a stand alone stand and the main line insert, so don’t forget to check both. Plus, one of the suit style polishes has a little white label reading “textured”

Spotted! More Maybelline in stores!

I was passing my local Boots and popped into to see if I could spot the new Maybelline SOS Balm.  And lo and behold, I did.  Its just like a small lipstick, the balm is a blue colour but presumably goes on clear. The insert in the large stand was also updated, so I snapped a couple of pics for you.  Not 100% sure if any of these are new…  And here is a close up of the polishes, I think these are part of the core line.

There we go, I also spotted that Maybeline have brought out their own nail polish remover but I didn’t manage to get a picture of that.  Anything catch your eye?  Let me know in the comments.

Spotted! Maybelline 100 Years Collection Stands!

It would seem that our two mystery Maybelline Color Show polishes are part of a wider, limited edition range to celebrate 100 years of Maybelline.  Its a Superdrug Exclusive so get down there STAT if something catches your eye.  The stand has been infilled with non-limited edition items, just in case you were wondering.  Here come the close ups!      

There we go, exciting huh?   This not the same as the US release of the 100 Years of Maybelline.  You can see all the gossip on that range over on Nouveau Cheap here.

Spotted! Updated Maybelline Color Show Stands

Further to my quick post on the new Maybelline Color Show All Access NY top coats, I’ve now seen a fully updated stand.  Seems that we are only getting the black and red toppers, not the others as seen in Europe as on the Gemey-Maybelline Site here.

First up, a close up of the red and white topper.  Yes there are hearts in there.

Below is that stand has has the inserts updated.  You can clearly see the two names.  Also note that the Color Show bottles have been updated with 60 Seconds on them…Moving along the display, you are see there are more than the two Dr Rescue products I saw in another stand.  Seems there are four of them – from left, All in One, Gel Effect Top Coat, Base Coat and SOS Balm.  Curious to see what that last one, the Superdrug website doesn’t help.

Spotted! New Maybelline Color Show All Access NY & Dr Rescue!

Just popping this post up in case any of you are off shopping today and fancy some new nail stuff!  Having spotted them on European blogs, the UK is seeing the arrival of the Color Show All Access NY Top Coats.  So far, I’ve only seen the black one.  But lovely Briege over at Rare Opal has seen the red on and has bought them both!  Also seen are new Dr Rescue nail products, an all in one and a gel top coat.

YES – this is square glitter!!          Boots seems to still be in a 3 for 2 promotion so now would be a good time to pick these up!  Have you seen these about?  Let me know in the comments!
