Wet N Wild Megalast – Sun Settle Down

I think we all now by now that I love a good orange polish, this is no exception and comes from the same range, Summer 2015 California Dreaming as the other Megalast Sky Me Mine I shared a few weeks ago.  You can see most of the range here on Nouveau Cheap.  And what isn’t there to love with Wet N Wild and their Megalast range – they are very reasonable and of (usually) good quality.

This is a lovely creamsicle orange colour, really perfect for summer and I love this shade.  Formula was good, the Megalast brush is a joy to work with.  Its easy to use and because it is tapered, makes getting near but not on your cuticle simple.  This is two coats over a case of Nailtiques 2, topped off with Nails Inc Kensington Top Coat sealing it in.

What do you think?  Do you have a favourite creamy orange colour?  Let me know in the comments.

Spotted! New lines in M&S

I’ve not checked out a M&S beauty section in a while – seems I’ve been missing out!  Not only was there ‘new-to-me’ Nails Inc One Coat Gels (Did you know about these??) but they are back in the round bottle.  Not sure if this is just for M&S or the range itself – either way, an interesting product!  Looks like nearly the whole core range to me – all in the new One Coat Gel polish.
Then some cute glitters and toppers in the base of the display.  Ones with cute gingham caps and Nails Inc Dotty.  Cotton Candy Nails Inc.
Also in M&S was a huge range of Morgan Taylor polishes – which I’ve never seen outside of a Sally Beauty before.  Have you? Also, a quick plug, I’ve just joined Instagram, so if you want to see new products as soon as I see them, then do give me a follow!

Maybelline Color Show Suit Style – Suit & Sensibility

So as you might have gathered, I got rather excited at the sight of new Maybelline Color Show polishes. I’ve done a bit of internet digging and (as usual) German blogs seem to be a bit ahead of the curve – although this post on Angelica’s Nails clearly shows all four bottles with the Suit Style Collection logo on them.  Anyhow, lets check out some pics!

As you can clearly see this is a gunmetal colour – and its textured!  Yes, Maybelline are still bringing out textured shades.  Now a word on that, the texture here is quite rough and more so that other previous Maybelline textured polishes.  It is a bit of a shock when its been a while since you’ve worn one and I did manage to snag my nails on a knitted top – so beware!

Formula is quite thick, but speed and care is needed to get this onto the nail as it does dry quite fast.  If you take you time, you either end up with one part of the nail clearly having a thicker application or you pull off some of the drying polish.  What you see above is two coats over a base of Nailtiques 2 and no top coat.  Drying time was quick as I mentioned.

Having seen those German blogs, Business Blouse (what a ridiculous name!) actually looks pretty cool – so I may have to pick that one up too…. damn you Maybelline!!!

Have you seen these about and have any caught your eye?  Let me know in the comments!

Victoria, Victoria Beckham VVB for Nails Inc – Judo Red

I am a lucky lucky lady – my lovely sister bought me a nail polish that I never thought I would get my hands on.  This is Victoria, Victoria Beckham VVB for Nails Inc in Judo Red.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

OK, two things, firstly this ain’t cheap.  No no no.  Secondly, its not the most unique of colours.

However, it is a stunning easy to use polish.  The brush is excellent and two coats is perfection.  I love this.  The colour is an orange leaning red, a fab shade for many a skin tone.  I am NOT a fan of Nails Inc at all, I have some, they are OK and I have a couple I adore, but on the whole, I have avoided them.

Above is two coats, over a base of Nailtiques 2 (still have peeling nails but they are MUCH better) and topped with my brand new Nails Inc 45 Second Kensington Top Coat.  Colour me impressed with the top coat, it is fast.

This makes me change my mind.  Completely.  I know its not part of the their standard line.  Formula does have a slight smell to it, must be that Bamboo Extract, but it is not off putting or overpowering.

The bottle is heavy in the hand, Venetian Glass don’t you know!  And the peek-a-boo sides?? To die for.

OK, Nails Inc, you got me.  I’m smitten!  Let me know what you think in the comments, would you pay £25 for liquid perfection?
