Its mid week and so its Nella Milano time again – this week the polish in focus is Desert Fox.  Lets check out some pics!

This is two coats over a base of Nailtiques 2 topped with Nails Inc Kensington Top Coat.  This is a proper nude or camel shade, not 100% sure that the colour is me, but I can see the appeal in a nnude or nearly nude color for work or on days when you don’t want to draw attention to your nails.  Formula was good, again almost a one coater, but two meant much better and more even coverage.  Drying time was average and I loved the fact the formula was good and it didn’t pool my cuticles.

On the website you can search by collection, there are eight sets and one set of top and base coat www.nellamilano.com.  You can also visit the brand on Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest or Facebook to keep up to date with releases and current shades.  The price point is £8.95.  But this week, Desert Fox should be on offer for £4.95, so if you like the look of this, this is the week to take the plunge and buy!

Nella Milano – Sweetie Darling

How can another week have passed?  How?  I don’t know about you but time is passing quickly – and the weather has been less than kind.  Where is this summer??  We’ve hardly seen any here.  But never mind that, I have a bright pop of a pink polish to share with you today!  This is Sweetie Darling from Nella Milano.

Formula for this shade was quite thick, I could have got away with just one but did two so that it was opaque over the whole nail surface.  As a pink leaning blue, I’m not 100% convinced I can pull this off, but its meant to be summer so hey!  I’m working it.  I based using Nailtiques 2 and topped using my trust Nails Inc Kensington Top Coat.  It did take a bit longer than usual to dry, so that might be because of the formula thickness.

Nella Milano – Scarlet Heat

Its Nella Milano time again!  I think most nail polish lovers like to have a good red in their stash.  This one, if you’ve been looking for one, could be the one for you!  This is Scarlet Heat – lets check out some pictures.

What you see here is two coats over a base of Nailtiques 2 and topped with Nails Inc Kensington Top Coat.  To be honest, the shine on this was excellent and the top coat wasn’t 100% necessary.  Old habits die hard!  Formula was good, easy to work with and it didn’t pool around my cuticles.  It is certainly a bright, punch of red on the nail.  Its not a true apple red but its a good classic vampy red which would probably work with all skin tones.

Its Nella Milano time again.  Goodness, I’m sure its not just me, but the weeks seem to be flying by!  I have a fab green sahde to share with you today, say HELLO! to Evergreen. This one is from the Four Seasons collection.

Formula on this was excellent.  I am really impressed.  What you see here are two coats over a base of Nailtiques 2 ad topped with Nails Inc Kansington Top Coat (both purchased by me).  The green is really unusual in that it is quite dark and not the bright grass green you often get with other shades.  In fact, I have little like it in the BIG stash!

Nella Milano – Grey Goose

Its Nella Milano time again.  This one is another lovely pale, work appropriate shade, called Grey Goose.  This is from the Misty Morning collection.  Lets check out the pictures!

Formula for this one was excellent, it glided onto the nail.  Drying time was also excellent, although it was quite warm when I applied this.  What you see above is two coats over a base of Nailtiques 2 topped off with Nails Inc Kensington Top Coat (which I am running low on……)  This is a great neutral shade without being based on skintone and would work as a great base for some stamping.  I didn’t get a chance to stamp over this for a number of reasons, but next time I definitely will!

Nella Milano – Moon Whisper

Its mid week so its Nella Milano time.  This week we have Moon Whisper for your viewing pleasure.  This is a pale pink shade and lets check out some pictures!

This is a very pale pink, almost matching my skin tone.  It is a mannequin manicure on me for sure.  What you can see here is two coats over a base of Nailtiques 2 (still with the peeling nails…) and then topped with Nails Inc Kensington Top Coat.  i wasn’t 100% sure that two coats would cut it, but it works fine.  It was certainly a palate cleanser!

This week Nella Milano shade is a really hot one!  Lets check out some pictures of Crystal Coral*!

LOOK AT THE ORANGENESS!!  Isn’t it awesome??  Its so very bright and summery and perfect for long sunny summer days.  I love this shade, its juicy and bright and it fullfils my need for great orange shades.  On me this pulls more orange than coral.  Formula was excellent – as I have come to expect from Nella MIlano.  What you see here is two coats over a base of Nailtiques 2 (purchased by me).  It was almost a one coat wonder, just my OCD over a visible free nail edge kicked in and so I did a second one,  This is all sealed in my Nails Inc Kensington Top Coat (purchased by me).

Love shades like this, perfect for that pop of colour!

Now we all know that yellow can be a huge nightmare to apply, it can go on streaky or dry unevenly.  I am thrilled to say that neither of these apply here.  Formula is better than I had expected and what you see about is two coats over a base of Nailtiques 2.  And no top coat.  See how shiny that polish is?  Yes it really is like that.  I do love these Nella cremes, the formula is excellent and its almost as good as a perfect Chanel creme.  You cannot go far wrong!

Look how bright this polish is, wow!

Nella Milano – Periwinkle Pucker

Its another week and so I have another Nella Milano polish to share with you.  This one is Periwinkle Pucker, a baby blue that leans slightly purple.  Its a great shade for early summer, so lets check out some pics!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

This is three thin coats over a base of Essence Anti Nail Peeler base coat and topped off with a coat of Nails Inc Kensington Top Coat.  The formula was great, it dried quickly and was a great self leveller.  I was quite impressed with this one.  The colour is not too pale and it is certainly a very wearable shade.
