Ah Friday.  End of the week.  Hope you have something lovely planned for this weekend?

This is two coats over a base of Nailtiques 2 and topped off with Nails Inc Kensington Top coat.  Formula was good, creamy and easy to use.  It certainly gives me mannequin hands!  Its a great clean, classic look.  Great for when you want neat nails without drawing attention to them.

On the website you can search by collection, there are eight sets and one set of top and base coat www.nellamilano.com.  You can also visit the brand on Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest or Facebook to keep up to date with releases and current shades.  The price point is £8.95.  But this week, Peach Schnapps should be on offer for £4.95, so if you like the look of this, this is the week to take the plunge and buy!

Nella Milano – Desert Fox

Its mid week and so its Nella Milano time again – this week the polish in focus is Desert Fox.  Lets check out some pics!

This is two coats over a base of Nailtiques 2 topped with Nails Inc Kensington Top Coat.  This is a proper nude or camel shade, not 100% sure that the colour is me, but I can see the appeal in a nnude or nearly nude color for work or on days when you don’t want to draw attention to your nails.  Formula was good, again almost a one coater, but two meant much better and more even coverage.  Drying time was average and I loved the fact the formula was good and it didn’t pool my cuticles.

Spotted! Chanel Les Beiges & Rimmel London Nudes

Nude shades seem to be all the range for early summer.  Two new ranges out in store.  First up, the new nude collection from Chanel called Les Beiges. Several products in the range, including four nude-ish shades of nail polish. Then the new Kate Moss Nude Collection (internet search on safe!!!) Its not on the website yet, but it looked to me like five nude lipsticks and four (or maybe five) nude nail polishes.  Also in the range are some new foundations.  Not at all unlike the new Les Beiges above….
Anything catch your eye? Let me know what you think in the comments.

EDIT – the nail polishes are now listed on the Rimmel UK Website, four shades to pick from.  Five in the lipstick range.

Nella Milano – Moon Whisper

Its mid week so its Nella Milano time.  This week we have Moon Whisper for your viewing pleasure.  This is a pale pink shade and lets check out some pictures!

This is a very pale pink, almost matching my skin tone.  It is a mannequin manicure on me for sure.  What you can see here is two coats over a base of Nailtiques 2 (still with the peeling nails…) and then topped with Nails Inc Kensington Top Coat.  i wasn’t 100% sure that two coats would cut it, but it works fine.  It was certainly a palate cleanser!

On the website you can search by collection, there are eight sets and one set of top and base coat www.nellamilano.com.  You can also visit the brand on Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest or Facebook to keep up to date with releases and current shades.  The price point is £8.95.  But this week, Moon Whisper should be on offer for £4.95, so if you like the look of this, this is the week to take the plunge and buy!

Born Pretty Stamping Plate BP-L020

*Disclosure: This product was sent to me for review but this does not influence the opinions expressed in this blog which are entirely my own.

I’ve been sent some lovely Born Pretty Plates to play with and I have a couple of looks I am going to share with you this week.  First up is this look using BP-L020 a plate filled with lovely lacy designs.  I was quite taken with this plate and I wasn’t sure where to start.  But in the end I plumped for the lace pattern at the bottom left of the image.

I used a base of Barry M Gelly Lychee to provide a nude base so that it wouldn’t detract too much from the stamping.  I then stamped over the top, using WnW Black Creme that I keep in my stamping stash, before sealing it all in with my Nails Inc Kensington Top Coat.  I did managed to smear my thumb nail and so just dropped in a little bit more stamping because I was running out of time to get this finished.

I love how classy and clean this looks, I think anyone would be able to carry off this design and colour way.  It provides interest without being too in your face.  The quality of the stamp plate is great, the designs are smaller than those you would find on a MoYou XL plate, but bigger than those on the regular plate.  They are a good size for my nails.  I also used my Creative Stamper which I find works really well with the BP plates and delivers a crisp image onto the nail.

Born Pretty have provided me with a 10% off code for all my readers, so if you like the look of this, or any of the next few products I have to shared with you, please feel free to use it. The code is ULG10.  There are lots and lots of lovely things available via the store. Let me know what you get in the comments!

That’s all at the moment, not much else knocking about.  Soon be time for autumn collections….

Essence Sand Style – Hey Nude!

I have a little European gem from Essence for you today.  If you’ve been hanging about these parts for a bit, you know that I like my nails bold.  I have however, fallen for this one, mainly because I am a sucker for a textured polish…. here is Hey Nude!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

As you can see, this one is quite sheer, but its great to have a polish that provides a wash of colour to the nail without being all cray-cray.  This is two coats over a base of G&G Stuck on Blu!  The silver pieces are quite prominent and in the light this really sparkles.  I was sent this, but you can pick up Essence in mainland Europe, Ireland and online.  They are coming to the UK as they have been slowly rolling themselves out in various Wilkinson’s stores – just not fast enough for my liking!

What do you think?  Let me know in the comments.

365 Days of Color – Vagabond

Just a quick beauty to share with you today. This is Vagabond, part of La Boheme Collection by 365 Days of Color.

Love this, its nude, but its not.  Its blue and its not.  Its just lovely, formula was lovely too.  Two coats here over a base of Essie Millionails with a top coat from Seche Vite.

What do you think?  I think its kind of cute for the autumn….
