Wet N Wild Megalast – Sun Settle Down

I think we all now by now that I love a good orange polish, this is no exception and comes from the same range, Summer 2015 California Dreaming as the other Megalast Sky Me Mine I shared a few weeks ago.  You can see most of the range here on Nouveau Cheap.  And what isn’t there to love with Wet N Wild and their Megalast range – they are very reasonable and of (usually) good quality.

This is a lovely creamsicle orange colour, really perfect for summer and I love this shade.  Formula was good, the Megalast brush is a joy to work with.  Its easy to use and because it is tapered, makes getting near but not on your cuticle simple.  This is two coats over a case of Nailtiques 2, topped off with Nails Inc Kensington Top Coat sealing it in.

What do you think?  Do you have a favourite creamy orange colour?  Let me know in the comments.

This week Nella Milano shade is a really hot one!  Lets check out some pictures of Crystal Coral*!

LOOK AT THE ORANGENESS!!  Isn’t it awesome??  Its so very bright and summery and perfect for long sunny summer days.  I love this shade, its juicy and bright and it fullfils my need for great orange shades.  On me this pulls more orange than coral.  Formula was excellent – as I have come to expect from Nella MIlano.  What you see here is two coats over a base of Nailtiques 2 (purchased by me).  It was almost a one coat wonder, just my OCD over a visible free nail edge kicked in and so I did a second one,  This is all sealed in my Nails Inc Kensington Top Coat (purchased by me).

Love shades like this, perfect for that pop of colour!

In their own words ‘Made in France, Nella Milano nail lacquers are colour rich and long-lasting, making it very easy to keep your nails naturally chic at all times.  Nella Milano stands for effortlessly stylish, elegant and fashionable.  There is a Nella for any mood and personality and Nella Milano colours will perfect and complement any individual style.’

On the website you can search by collection, there are eight sets and one set of top and base coat www.nellamilano.com.  You can also visit the brand on Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest or Facebook to keep up to date with releases and current shades.  The price point is £8.95.  But this week, Crystal Coral should be on offer for £4.95, so if you like the look of this, get moving!

Sinful Colors – Ring The Belini

Just posting this quickly, currently up to my eyeballs in sorting packing and getting the house today before we go away for our family holiday.  I’m so excited about holidays!!!  I love everything about them; airports, duty free shopping, flying etc etc

That aside, I have one of the US Sinful Colors shades I picked up from eBay.  Its a great way to get your hands on some lovely US polishes that we are never going to see on UK shores.  This one is an awesome jelly orange called Ring The Belini, part of the Citrus Twist collection!  Lets take a look!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

This is four thin coats to build up the colour.  When it first went on, I though it was going to take forever to build up the colour.  But it does work, the inbuilt orange flakies really pop over the juicy orange jelly and provide great shine to the nail.  I’ve based here with Nailtiques 2 and topped with Nails Inc Kensington Top Coat.

And you all know how much I love an orange, so this is a no brainer for me.  I love it!

Rimmel Rita Ora – Tangerine Tent

I think I’ve gone a bit orange cray cray… but it is getting warmer out there and so I think I can let myself get away with this.  I picked this up with some other cosmetics in a 3 for 2 in Superdrug.  I figured it was worth a try.  So lets check out some pictures!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Despite the slightly ridiculous festival style name, Tangerine Tent is the perfect juicy orange shade.  Its bright and happy.  What you see above is two easy coats over a base of Nailtiques 2.  I did use a top coat here, my Nails Inc Kensington Top Coat, but it does dry to a high shine finish.  I just wanted to ensure a good wear time so chose to top coat.  You could skip this step.

I think for a cheap, good quality polish, you can’t go far wrong here.  Formula is easy to work with and it does dry on the quick side.  There is a good range of colours and the little flower detail on the cap is cute and so you know if the shade you want is part of the Rita Ora range.

Let me know what you think in the comments.  Did you pick up any of the Rita Ora Festival Shades?

L’Oreal Boheme Flower Top Coat – Coachelala

We saw these a few weeks ago, part of the new releases from L’Oreal. There are two that I’ve seen to date, one with pink glitter bits and white flowers, and then this one.  The excellently named Coachelala!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I do love this one, orange bar bits with white flowers. I wore one coat of Coachelala over a base of one of the Essence Colour and Go in one of the Brazilian Greens, Beijos From Brazil, from last year – it reminds me of fresh green grass.  I based with Nailtiques 2 (still a little bit of peeling going on…) and then did one coat the Essence and one coat of the top coat.

Those flowers are probably the hardest to get out of the bottle.  It does come with quite a thick clear base, not unworkable, but you will need to roll it in your hands for a bit to get the glitter off the sides of the bottle.  Mine has two metal balls in it, to help mix the polish.  I got four flowers on each hand, so that isn’t too bad.

I picked up mine in a 3 for 2 cosmetics promotion in Boots, and a word of caution, check the bottles.  Often I find they have been opened and tested and so the bottle neck is all crusty.  Or you find one with a wonky brush like I did, so I just swapped the brush with another bottle.  I believe it was £4.99 and yes its a small bottle, but lets be honest – how ofter do you ever finish one?

What do you think?  Let me know in the comments!  Thanks for popping by

Sinful Colors – Standing Bloom Only

I may have been a bit naughty and ordered from nail polishes from the US via eBay. I fell in love once I saw the Sinful Colors Bloom Blast collection on Nouveau Cheap (I’m just gonna blame G really…) and I also scored a couple of other polishes from the other collections, although sadly not Shamrocking (and I also missed Love Sprinkles from the valentines collection)

Anyway, this is Standing Bloom Only a lovely juicy orange polish packed to the gills with orange and red glitter in all manner of sizes. It really couldn’t be more me if it tried, as soon as I say pictures, I was a goner.

What you see above is two medium coats over a base of Essence Better Than Gel Nails base and topped off with a thick layer of Nails Inc 45 Second Top Coat. Formula is good and workable, I blobbed a fair bit on the nail before spreading it out in an attempt to get even glitter distribution. I needn’t have worried to be fair as this is packed with glitter and it glides onto the nail evenly.

As I mentioned, I picked this up from a seller on eBay who sells lots of drugstore items internationally, presumably to polish addicts like me and US nationals living abroad. I was good, I only got six in total, and lets be clear, it could have been a LOT WORSE!! Are you over glitter containing cremes? I thought I was, and then this collection has just done it for me!

Spotted! Miss Sporty Candy Shine Glitter Effect polishes

Not 100% sure these are new on the shelves, but I think its the first time I have seen these.  New onto the Miss Sporty Stands are Candy Shine Glitter Effect polishes.IMG_7554

The range just appears to be three shades, one green, one pink and one orange with pink (weird!)IMG_7553

I *think* these are RRP £1.99. Again, not 100% sure.  But there you go, not my most informative of posts!

NOTD – SInful Colors Patent Pleasure

I had an urge for a bright colour on my nails, so I popped on this Sinful Colors Sinful Shine shade in Patent Pleasure.  It has a hidden green tinge, but I do love this!

We have seen Patent Pleasure before, right here in fact….

Sinful Colors – Splatter Spell

I found these images languishing on my camera, so thought I would share these with you.  This is a Sinful Colors shade I picked up in the US.  As the name Splatter Spell suggests, this was part of the Halloween 2014 range.  Lets check out some pics.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Here is two coats of Splatter Spell over a base of Barry M Gelly in Lychee, a pale nude shade.  Its a great orange glitter in hexes and shards, along with black pieces in medium and small hexes.  Pretty easy to use, easy to apply on the nail, no complaints here.

I do love a great orange glitter topper, as you may well know!  Its a great way to bling up a day old mani.

OPI – Today I Accomplished Zero

Man, I love this polish.  I can’t believe I haven’t shown you before, its bonkers!  How can you not love a range of Coca Cola nail polish! This is the second one I have from the OPI Coca Cola Collection, the first being the European orange, Orange You Stylish! Here come the pictures!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Today I Accomplished Zero is a blackened base with red glitter – its the polish equivalent of Coke Zero, which from my recall is red with black logos etc. Anyway, this is two and sometimes three coats over a base of G&G Stuck on Blu! and topped with G&G HK Girl.  Why two or three?  Well one some nails I could see my visible nail line and I knew that a little thinner third coat would sort that out.  And it did.

Plus points?  Red and black, winning combination.  Minus points?  Well its a polish RAMMED with glitter, removal nightmare!  Plus point?  It wears like iron…. iron I tell you.

Lots of etailers and retailers for OPI in the UK, I don’t think there is a need for me to list where, but if you have a fave, do let us know in the comments!
