Spotted! Rimmel London Love Glitter collection

Some new items out on shelves in the UK now – this is the Love Glitter collection from Rimmel London.  Five glitter shard top coats – as you can see this advert suggests wearing these over black.

RRP is £3.99 but often these can be picked up in 3 for 2 or BOGOF deals.

Spotted! Halloween Make Up Stands

A few new stands have been creeping out into the stores – first up, new stands with suggested Halloween make up in them.  First up, this joint stand between Rimmel London and Miss Sporty.  And then this stand for Barry M, Revolution and other brands.  Those look to me like the new winter Barry M Gelly shades.

Spotted! Chanel Les Beiges & Rimmel London Nudes

Nude shades seem to be all the range for early summer.  Two new ranges out in store.  First up, the new nude collection from Chanel called Les Beiges. Several products in the range, including four nude-ish shades of nail polish. Then the new Kate Moss Nude Collection (internet search on safe!!!) Its not on the website yet, but it looked to me like five nude lipsticks and four (or maybe five) nude nail polishes.  Also in the range are some new foundations.  Not at all unlike the new Les Beiges above….
Anything catch your eye? Let me know what you think in the comments.

EDIT – the nail polishes are now listed on the Rimmel UK Website, four shades to pick from.  Five in the lipstick range.

Spotted! New Rimmel Stands

Another quick stopped update for you – new display stands are being whipped into stores up and down the country!  I have to admit I’m not 100% sure these are new shades as I know Venus was a release earlier this year….  Maybe its the more summery shades that are new… who knows!

But exciting with new stands, come new offers.  I can’t remember what this one is, but you get something free when you spend £9….

Rimmel Rita Ora – Tangerine Tent

I think I’ve gone a bit orange cray cray… but it is getting warmer out there and so I think I can let myself get away with this.  I picked this up with some other cosmetics in a 3 for 2 in Superdrug.  I figured it was worth a try.  So lets check out some pictures!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Despite the slightly ridiculous festival style name, Tangerine Tent is the perfect juicy orange shade.  Its bright and happy.  What you see above is two easy coats over a base of Nailtiques 2.  I did use a top coat here, my Nails Inc Kensington Top Coat, but it does dry to a high shine finish.  I just wanted to ensure a good wear time so chose to top coat.  You could skip this step.

I think for a cheap, good quality polish, you can’t go far wrong here.  Formula is easy to work with and it does dry on the quick side.  There is a good range of colours and the little flower detail on the cap is cute and so you know if the shade you want is part of the Rita Ora range.

Let me know what you think in the comments.  Did you pick up any of the Rita Ora Festival Shades?

Spotted – updated stands for Christmas and some new items from Miss Sporty

A few of the stands in your local drugstores may be updated in the near future if they haven’t already. First up, Rimmel has a new end cap in Superdrug – in particular highlighting the new Pop Art topper and those Glitter Bomb shades.

Then new shades in the Miss Sporty stand….

Inlcuding another high street glitter peel off base coat, just like the new one from NYC New York Color.

And some new hologram shades.. not sure these are 100% new but they are in the new updated stand.

Finally, Barry M for the festive season, including slots for the limited edition toppers, only one seen here.

That is all this time, what have you seen out and about?

Spotted! New Rimmel glitter topper polishes

I caught a glimpse today of the new polishes by Rimmel, some of which look very Christma-sey. These are the Glitter Bomb top coats and they come in five colour ways – gold, silver, pink, blue and red.

IMG_6461Here you can see the image inserts for them, they look very glitzy in the images.

IMG_6457This shows them alongside the new Velvet Matte polishes which came out in September.

IMG_6458This one is very Christmas….

IMG_6459And finally, an addition to the Rita Ora line, a pop art top coat. I’ve not noticed this before so I’m not 100% sure its new.

New Things I Have Spotted #88- Kate Moss for Rimmel

Straight off the bat, I am going to stop numbering these posts as I can’t keep up… unless you want me to keep numbering so you know which ones are most recent or not???  Please leave me a comment with you preference – this one is numbered but the next stopped won’t be.

Still no sign of those elusive Maybelline Color Show Acid Wash Effect polishes, there appears to be four in the range from what I can tell from empty stands.  Green, blue and lilac and a shade I cannot determine from the name.  No images to show you of the name slots as I can’t get a good enough pic to share.

Anyhow… new Kate Moss for Rimmel under the name Boho Rhapsody.  They could be repromotes, I didn’t get time to check and apologies for the very ‘dusty’ looking images.  However, a report in the Evening Standard, leads me to believe they are new.

So there we are, just a little bit of Spotting to keep you going until next time!  Let me know what catches your eye.

New Things I Have Spotted #78 – Rimmel Sweetie Crush Texture Polishes

Another quick spot for you today – these I noticed in my local revamped Tesco beauty department.  I hear that some also have a HUGE Barry M counter.  Not in mine!  But look!  New textured shades from Rimmel London.  All with Sweetie sounding names!

20140316-202325.jpg

You can see the names here, but form the left – Sherbert Sweetheart (yellow) candyfloss Cutie (pink) Fizzy Applelicious (green) Violet Swizzle (violet) and Blueberry Whizz (blue)

So what do you think?  A hit or a miss?  Sweetie  Crush polishes are listed on the main Rimmel UK website. They are probably too pale for me and so I left them on the shelf.  Let me know if you pick these up – I’d love to hear what they are like!
