Spotted! New Seventeen polishes

I was passing my local Boots when I noticed that the Seventeen stands had been updated. It has been a while so I’d been keeping an eye on them.  Here you can see the whole top section of the display, nearly the complete top line is new nail polishes or top coats.

Here you can see the close up, first up on the left are the new Foil Fusion polishes, followed by in the middle Pastel Confetti Nail toppers and then two Mosaic Top Coats.

Spotted! More Christmas gift sets

Lots more things for the nail polish addict in your life, or things for you to try and pick up cheaper than chips in the Boxing Day sales….

First up, boxed sets of polishes from Champneys.

Plus this cute little set of French Connection polishes.

I was pretty impressed with this Seventeen Nail Clash box, lots of bits and pieces to keep you testing out new looks for days and days on end. As you can see £20, but its 3 for 2 on all gifts…..

Also from Seventeen, a set of mini polishes in a range of colours.

 

I also saw these and thought some of you might like these.  A lot.

Spotted! Seventeen, No7 & Chanel Cult Reds & Christmas 2014

Man there is a LOT of new stuff out there….. warning, this is picture heavy!  First up, Seventeen have new Gel Colours, in a navy and a burgundy shade.
If you look at the promo image in the stand, there are silver sparkly tips. Didn’t see anything like that in my local Boots.

There are a number if new No7 nail polishes out on Boots at the moment, its a good time to buy with a 3 for 2 on.

And to compliment the new polishes, some new Christmas limited edition shades in sparkly boxes.

Finally I have seen both the new Chanel Collections.  First up the Chanel Cult Reds.

And their Christmas 2014 offering… that pale circular blush/highlighter is STUNNING!  Its all etched with feathers.

Spotted! New Seventeen stands & Revlon A/W polishes

A couple of smaller spots for you today – first up, Seventeen have had some new pop up stands in Boots stores.  I hadn’t noticed how many new shades they had brought out but presumably they have now finished the transition from the old bottles to the newer ones.  Hence a big re-promote and the removal of Sinful Colors (which are in the same price point).  So here are the new Seventeen stands.

Then I spotted the new Revlon shades, actually integrated into the main Revlon stand,  I’d already seen these over on BeautyGeek and was wondering if we might get these shades.  And then BOOM we did.  Interesting the non glitter shade was part of the Summer 2014 Bohemian Collection.

The purple shade is similar to Facets of Fuchsia (Scandalous) but it is NOT the same.  According to Karen at the aforementioned BeautyGeeks, the Egdy shade is limited edition.  Makes sense, as you can see here its not numbered so not part of the core range.

Finally, over on the new updated L’Oreal stands, a couple of new finish effects.  One wax and one latex.There you go, a few more things to look out for.  Anything catch your eye?

Spotted! New Seventeen glitter toppers

Hot on the heels of the new Barry M and Rimmel glitters we have seen in the last couple of weeks, Seventeen have updated their stands with new glitters and toppers.  Lets check out the pictures….

As you can see, Limited Edition Sequin Top Coats and Glitters….

Along with Nail Tinsels…..

Too much glitter? Or not enough?  Seems everyone is off doing glitter bomb top coats again for the party season!  Did you pick any of these up? They don’t appear to be on the Seventeen website at time of writing, but I’m sure they will be there soon as the Christmas gifts are listed.

Spotted! Sally Hansen Miracle Gel, Seventeen Polka Dots and Speckled Top Coats, WAH Nails, Essence Wave Goddess & Road Trip

More spots for you today.  First up, the new Sally Hansen Miracle Gel out now in Boots.  Each one is £9.99

New Things I Have Spotted #86 – Elegant Touch Candy Dip & New Seventeen Crushed Foils, Off the Wall Metals & Juicy Neons

Some more new Spots for you today!  First up, a new stand of Elegant Touch Candy Dip.  Basically three pots of glitter and things to stick onto your nails using stick on nails/nail wraps (hence the chemical free).  Some nice colour ways here, seem to be available in four shade.  More on the Superdrug website.

Next up, excitingly, a number of additions to certain lines from Seventeen.  Firstly, these Crushed Foils – I bet these might be a bit of a ‘mare to apply, but I’ve not tried them. Love the look of the silver one however!  Note that they say Matte on the bottle so I reckon it might be more of a top coat then a wear alone polish.

New additions to the Off The Wall collection of glitter toppers. These are all LIMITED EDITION and only available until 8th July 2014!!  Check them out on the Boots website, from left Bronze (although it did look pink to me), Gold and Silver.

More Limited Edition shades, only until 8th July 2014, Seventeen Juicy Neons. Five shades in this collection, from left – Orange, Pink, Yellow, Turquoise and Purple.

So, a fair bit of new stuff.  Get your skates on if you fancy some of the limited Seventeen shades.  The Crushed Foils look to be a permanent addition.

New Things I Have Spotted #74 – Barry M Silks, Lancome 2014 & Seventeen Colour Clash

Slowly the spring 2014 collections of polishes are creeping their way into stores.  Here are some I Spotted this week.

First up, the hotly anticipated Barry M Silks.  This was Superdrug, in Boots, the stand had been stripped bare!

Then the new Spring 2014 Lancome Collection – lots of pinks, gray. nude colours here.

Finally, new Seventeen polishes.  These ones are similar in style to the recent Maybelline Color Show Street Artist polishes.  I had to buy them both, especially with that offer on!  Swatches very soon!

I have also seen the new Spring mini collection by Chanel, with a new Vernis, Coup de Coeur from the Collection Variation. There are great swatches and comparisons on Beauty Look Book but I was unable to snag a picture for you this time

Seventeen – Deconstructed Suede

If you have been into Boots recently, you may have noticed a HUGE amount of nail polish on sale for between £1 and £2 depending on the shade.  It seems to be mainly older 17 (now Seventeen) polishes, but there were a few things of interest.  Like this one.  This is part of a limited edition set that came out, along with some nail studs and a new mascara.  I also got some nail studs.

So this, for want of a better name, is Deconstructed Suede.

As you can see above, its a textured finish polish, it dries to imitate a suede finish.  In fact, in person the effect is super pretty.  Formula was pretty fast drying, in fact, if you don’t have enough polish on your brush then best to leave it to dry and then come back!  I used two coats for the pictures above.

Its a metallic gray with a hint of pewter and in some lights brown in it.  It does dry darker than in the bottle, which is quite common with the suede shades I have from other ranges.  I do like it.  I’ve not put on a top coat but I did base with G&G HK Girl but you can still see a few of my nail ridges so if you have prominent ridges you might want to use something like a ridge filler before hand.

New Things I Have Spotted #70 – Cutex Ultra Cleansing, Seventeen Gel Polish & Color Show Stripped Nudes Collection

Quite a few things to share with you today, get ready!  First up, new Ultra Cleaning Cutex Nail Polish remover, you can see the little sign they have put instore, attesting to its power to remove glitter.  I used to love using Cutex removers, I haven’t for a while, but I might give this a go.  RRP varies from £1.60 to £2.20 so do shop about.

Then, in Boots, I finally saw the Seventeen Gel Colour, alongside stay put lippies.

Then, excitingly, I spot yet more new Maybelline Color Show – this time the collection appears to be called Stripped Nudes.  It consists of four polishes, like the previous limited edition run, two nude cremes and two glitter toppers.  These were in the main display, not in an inset as that slot is currently occupied by the new Street Artist line, but also alongside the Street Artist.
