Sally Hansen Satin Glam – Taffetta

Today I have a polish to share with you that I picked up in a pound store, we already seen Iced Metal here on the blog, which I picked up at the same time.  I do love these Satin Glam shades – there is something about the finish of them that makes my heart sing.  Anyway, enough chat, lets check out some pics!

This is a great royal purple shade and the finish is just to die for.  And in the sun, wow.  I took one pic outside and the way it catches the light is just lovely.

Two easy coats over a base of Nailtiques 2 with no top coat.  Drying time is super quick as its akin to a matte polish.  The only thing with these bottles is the very long brush that comes with them.  Great for getting to the end of the bottle but also easy to flood your cuticle and the polish runs down from above the brush on onto your nail.  But worth the little bit of pain I think!

Let me know what you think in the comments.

Chanel – Rouge Rubis

OK, so I did promise to mix it up a wee bit for you all, moving away from my haul fro the US and a polish you might still be able to pick up in the UK.  This is the lovely Rouge Rubis from Chanel, part of the Nuit Infinie de Chanel Holiday Collection 2013.

And it is a STUNNER! Here come the pics….

It is a vibrant, bright cherry red.  Its jelly in formula, so its a bit different to the world famous Chanel Cremes.  Its just divine.  Almost a one coater, but what you see above here is two coats over Glisten & Glow Stuck on Blu! and topped with Glisten & Glow HK Girl.  Its super shiny and just simply a red you must get into your collection.  Its that lovely, its been named ‘the nail shade of the season‘ in the Telegraph.

Chanel make up is readily available in the UK at large make up floors in department stores and online on at Boots and Selfridges.  RRP for this polish was £18, and it is limited edition, so if you haven’t and you want it and you see one – get it asap!

Let me know what you think – lovely, OK or just another red?
