Sinful Colors – Ring The Belini

Just posting this quickly, currently up to my eyeballs in sorting packing and getting the house today before we go away for our family holiday.  I’m so excited about holidays!!!  I love everything about them; airports, duty free shopping, flying etc etc

That aside, I have one of the US Sinful Colors shades I picked up from eBay.  Its a great way to get your hands on some lovely US polishes that we are never going to see on UK shores.  This one is an awesome jelly orange called Ring The Belini, part of the Citrus Twist collection!  Lets take a look!

This is four thin coats to build up the colour.  When it first went on, I though it was going to take forever to build up the colour.  But it does work, the inbuilt orange flakies really pop over the juicy orange jelly and provide great shine to the nail.  I’ve based here with Nailtiques 2 and topped with Nails Inc Kensington Top Coat.

And you all know how much I love an orange, so this is a no brainer for me.  I love it!

Spotted! Maybelline 100 Years Collection Stands!

It would seem that our two mystery Maybelline Color Show polishes are part of a wider, limited edition range to celebrate 100 years of Maybelline.  Its a Superdrug Exclusive so get down there STAT if something catches your eye.  The stand has been infilled with non-limited edition items, just in case you were wondering.  Here come the close ups!

There we go, exciting huh?   This not the same as the US release of the 100 Years of Maybelline.  You can see all the gossip on that range over on Nouveau Cheap here.

This is exclusive to Superdrug.

Spotted – Revlon The Sahara Escape Collection Spring/Summer 2015

Passing my local Boots, I noted that the Revlon stand had been updated with the new Sahara Escape Collection.  Six items in total, one polish.

I didn’t see any Limited Edition wording and the nail polish had also been inserted into the main polish displays.  As its marked up as Spring Summer 2015, I wonder if we might be a release for Summer.  Guess we will see!

Spotted! Barry M Sunset Pro UV Nails without the lamp!

The new Barry M Sunset Shades have hit my local Superdrug – whilst there is a three for two deal going on instore!  As you can see, pricepoint is £4.99 each for the shades and you need one top coat and one polish.  I’ve not bought any, but I know the official Barry M bloggers have been getting theirs for review.

Will you be picking these up this weekend?  Let me know what you think!

Spotted! Sally Hansen Runway Collection, Bourjois Spring 2015, M&S Jelly Bean Polishes

A few new items for your viewing pleasure today!  First up, the Runway Collection for Spring 2015 from Sally Hansen. £6.99 each.  Then some new polishes in the Bourjois stands. The new shade are also creeping into the large freestanding stands.  Still not seen the new cuticle oil pot, but when I do, you’ll know about it.  Finally for today, new Jelly Bean polishes at M&S, five shades in the range assuming the finish is waxy-ish, like jelly beans.     Yes, three pink/red shades, a blue and a yellow.  I didn’t see the price point, but I’d guess around £4.  Not on the M&S website at the time of writing this post.

So there we go, a few new things.  Let me know what has caught your eye in the comments.

Spotted! New Essence The Gel Nail

I was in quite a large Wilcos and having seen a new leader for The Gel Nails, I thought it best (for you my dear reader natrually) to pop by the Essence stand and see if the Gel Nails had actually landed. And they had! Along with some of the other new products….

So first up, just to say that this Wilcos has two bays making up it Essence display, so you may need to either visit a stand alone pop up or a larger store to get a bigger range.

As you can see, the whole top row on this bay and the next, is given over to the new polishes.  Every polish is the Essence core range is now a Gel Polish.    Here you can see is still includes the special finishes, such as the matte one you can see above.  Here you can also see the base and top coat needed to make the nails Gel.  The price point is excellent, polish is £1.60 and the top and base are £2.50 each. Also new to the stand, and I’m only focussing on the nail items here, are updated top coats.  From the left, holo glitter, sparkle sand, satin-matt, pastel ombre and the (not new) crackle top coat.  NB if you want to see all the new products, you can on this page on the Essence Website. Above you can see the wider range of pastel shades – these are not gel polishes, it appears to be the core range with the little colour cap that match the polish inside.

And finally, just another shot of the two required base and top coats for the Gel Nails.  This does mean that

I did pick up a few things, namely two gel polishes, the top and base coat for the gel nails, the ombre nail topper, the holo glitter topper and a foil transfer liquid (not picutred).  I have one of the gel nails on now for a wear text, so pop back in the next week or so, or sign up to alerts either by following me via email or through one of the links below.

Anything catch your eye?  Have you picked up any of these new items yet?

L’Oreal Boheme Flower Top Coat – Coachelala

We saw these a few weeks ago, part of the new releases from L’Oreal. There are two that I’ve seen to date, one with pink glitter bits and white flowers, and then this one.  The excellently named Coachelala!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I do love this one, orange bar bits with white flowers. I wore one coat of Coachelala over a base of one of the Essence Colour and Go in one of the Brazilian Greens, Beijos From Brazil, from last year – it reminds me of fresh green grass.  I based with Nailtiques 2 (still a little bit of peeling going on…) and then did one coat the Essence and one coat of the top coat.

Those flowers are probably the hardest to get out of the bottle.  It does come with quite a thick clear base, not unworkable, but you will need to roll it in your hands for a bit to get the glitter off the sides of the bottle.  Mine has two metal balls in it, to help mix the polish.  I got four flowers on each hand, so that isn’t too bad.

I picked up mine in a 3 for 2 cosmetics promotion in Boots, and a word of caution, check the bottles.  Often I find they have been opened and tested and so the bottle neck is all crusty.  Or you find one with a wonky brush like I did, so I just swapped the brush with another bottle.  I believe it was £4.99 and yes its a small bottle, but lets be honest – how ofter do you ever finish one?

What do you think?  Let me know in the comments!  Thanks for popping by

Spotted- New in at Claire’s Liquid Metal & Scented Polishes

I popped into my local Claire’s (it will always be Claire’s Accessories to me) to see what was ‘new to me’ on the shelves.  First up, these liquid metal polishes.

According to the website, there are six shades.  Teal, Purple, Silver, Gold, Metallic Pink and Rose Gold.  £5.50 each with puts them 50p dearer than Models Own Colour Chromes.  But that purple has caught my eye! I’m sure there are often offers on so you can get them for a better price.  Just a close up for you! Beneath those I noticed these scented polishes, not sure if they are new but snapped a pic anyway.

Just a few new things – they also had a gel polish range, lots of great glitter toppers and all sorted of fab shades.  Certainly worth checking out next time you are passing – although a word of warning, lots of the bottles had been opened and used.  So check everything before you buy it and also check the brushes!

These ones have caught my eye – Valentines Glitter, this Leopard Glitter and this Ditsy Floral Glitter.

Spotted! Asda polishes

I’ve not been in my local Asda for a while, so I took the opportunity to swing by their make up section and see what was new. Quite a few things actually….

First up, new inserts in the stands.  Highlighting new make up products as well as a new nail care range.

Here you can see the three nail care products, called Dr Corrector.  From the left we have Ridge Filler, in the middle Smudge Corrector and on the right, Blush.  I can guess what the first two products are and I can only assume that the last one is a tinted coat for nails.  £2 each.

Then I saw these as well, not sure if I’ve seen these before, so just in case.  Here are the Star Struck One Coat Glitters.

And than, beneath that, I spotted some matte shades and a matte top coat.

And that was that!  As I say, a few new things for your viewing pleasure.  Anything catch your eye?

Spotted! More new stuff in M&S

The Nikki Strange range has landed in M&S.  A huge range of make up here, from eye to face palettes, to blushers, brushes and of course nail polish.  Liking the design on that make up bag! You can see the bottles have little spots on the them, only seem to be available as sets. Have you seen this range yet in your local M&S?
