Another Nella Milano shade to share with you today, this one is Iron Spring a neutral shade, described as steely-browny-grey….

IMG_7261I’ve already done a review of this polish, and you can check that out here!  This is SUCH a great shade for that late summer/autumn transition period.

On the website you can search by collection, there are eight sets and one set of top and base coat www.nellamilano.com.  You can also visit the brand on Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest or Facebook to keep up to date with releases and current shades.  The price point is £8.95.  But this week, Iron Spring should be on offer for £4.95, so if you like the look of this, this is the week to take the plunge and buy!

NOTD – L’Oreal Brit Invasion (US Release)

I’ve been having fun digging about the stash and pulling out older shades that you may (or may not) have seen on the blog before. I thought it might be nice to do some quick Nail of The Day (NOTD) posts for you.

This one I got from a friend in the US as part of a polish exchange group, way before the RM restrictions on posting polish came into force.  I googled and it looks like part of a 2012 release for Fall, a whole load of London/UK named polishes.  Its NOTHING LIKE IT IS IN THE BOTTLE.  What a bummer.  But I still love this.

I have previously blogged about this here (should have checked that first, it has the details on the collection!)

Let me know what you think in the comments!

Second Chance Saturday – Chanel Particulière

Chanel Particulière is the focus of this Second Chance Saturday.  This is an irregular series where I pull something out from the stash that either I haven’t worn in an age or one that I had particular issues with.

Particulière was released in 2010 as part of the Les Impressions De Chanel along with her polish sisters, Inattendu and Tendresse.  Lets be honest, did you realise it was THAT long ago.  I hadn’t and as soon as I put it onto my nails I fell in love all over again.  I actually remember waiting weeks for this to be restocked, and I didn’t get my hands on it until after Paradoxal came out as part of the Fall 2010 collection.  Anyway,  here come the pictures.

Particulière is a mid toned brown/taupe, which is so flattering on many skin tones and is certainly office friendly.  I would say its one of the darker available neutrals.

Like previous and future Chanel cremes, the formula on this is fantastic.  What you see above it two average thickness coats.  It dries well and evenly, and provides such fantastic coverage.  I toyed with the idea of a third coat, but why waste such a lovely polish. I used Essie All-in-one base and Seche Vite as my top coat.  Wear was fantastic, it lasted three days of office punishment before I had time to remove it.

I am quite proud of my slightly older Chanel collections and I’m glad I have such winners as this one in my stash!  Did you buy Particulière or have been eying it up?  I know there are several good dupes out there, but this is the full package.
