An older one for you again today – this is a release from 2010 and was part of a two part limited edition nail polish release by Lancome by designer L’Wren Scott.
When I saw these two polishes, I knew I had to have them, and I stalked all the Lancome counters I could find. And thankfully, I struck gold.
Le Rouge L’Wren is a gorgeous wine red with shimmer. The shimmer is so visible on the nail – its just stunning. They are ever so slightly brighter than the base, so they do stand out. Formula is good, it does go on a bit streaky to begin with, but what you see above it three coats over a base of G&G Stuck on Blu! and topped with a good coat of G&G HK Girl.
From what I can recall, and from what Google tells me, these are classes as mini bottles – they hold 6ml of polish and have a black cap which can come off for easier application. The brush is a bit thicker than I like, but it was still easy to use with care and attention.
Ah I love this, got lots of comments on it when I wore it and I wore it for three days solid, three days! Its almost unheard of. Did you pick this one up in 2010?
Quick post today -where are the weeks going??? Another Elevation Polish beauty for you today. This is Quartz Monzonite, a glitter top coat.
On the Elevation Shop, its described as a Glitter topper featuring Black, Grey, Wine colored hexes, squares & Circles with sparse neon yellow micro hexes and red shimmer all in a clear base. Can’t argue with that, I think that is spot on. And who doesn’t love circle glitter! It is from the ‘Stones Throw’ collection (from which I wish I had also bought Limestone!). Love this, I do need to try it with some other colours as undies – this one is Wet N Wild Megalast in On a Trip, a vibrant purple.
There are several places you can find out more about Elevation polish, first up the blog here and then the actual store (with international shipping). Polishes do very in price depending on the finish, but usually they are around $8.50, glitter toppers are sometimes more. Elevation restocks on set dates, more info on the blog and its clear which colours are going to be available or retired. The website also lists some of the other stockists that sell Elevation.
What do you think? Let me know in the comments and I’d love to hear your suggestions of undies!

Another older Chanel for you today, this is the very lovely Mythe. I have no idea when this was released but its been part of my stash for many many years……
Lets go straight to the pics
This is just stunning, a classic Chanel edition where the colours and finish are just a bit different. Its a glorious wine colour rippled with a vivid violet, it really sings in the bottle shots. What you will notice is that that lovely ripple doesn’t come out as strongly on the nail. It is visible in person, but its nowhere near as intense as you might hope. However, that aside, formula is just lovely (even after all these year) and I used three thin coats over Glisten & Glow Stuck on Blu! I did top this one with a thick coat of Dior Gel Top Coat as I find it works exceptionally well with older Chanel Le Vernis.
Hope you like this, what are your favourite older Chanels?
