Julep – Heather

Today I have been wearing Heather, a lovely mink colour with a hint of a shimmer from Julep, a US based company.  They don’t currently ship to the UK so you need to have either some buddies in the US or a Polish Picking Princess to send you some in the post (like I did!)

I’m actually beginning to adore these slightly nuder colours, which for me is a bit of a step change, I have a lot of dark, vampy colours.  In artificial light you get a good representation of the colour but in day light it shines so brightly with hints of green, pink and gold micro particles.  Of course all that glitz makes it hard to capture in photos.

Anyway in terms of formula, it was a good two coater, I used three thin coats to get an even polish but two would be fine.  It dried quickly to a nice finish, although I did top coat with Megashine for that something something.  Julep, as I have mentioned before, have very tall bottles and it makes me a bit nervous using them on anything other than an even surface.  However, that aside, its a good formula of a lovely colour.  Its probably not the most unique but I have nothing else like it, its more minky than Orly Nite Owl which is quite glittery in comparison.

What do you think?  Have any dupes in your collection?
